Lust is often reduced to overt sexuality and insatiable desire, but I wanted to confront its quieter form: idealization. This painting explores the idea of having your head in the clouds—of projecting fantasy onto the object of desire and mistaking illusion for intimacy. How much of what we long for is real, and how much is something we’ve invented to fill the gaps?
 
This kind of lust offers surface-level satisfaction rather than true connection. True love seeks the wholeness of another, lust consumes blindly.
